What does it mean to be "thoughtfully chic?"

I debated the name for hours, and I am still not sure about it.

I truly want to live my best life. I absolutely love to travel to new cities and take in the culture, art, and experiences of a brand new place. The excitement of travel is unparalled for me. The older I get and the more I experience, it is important that I make sure that my hard-earned money is spent on things I truly want. This includes life-changing trips as well as tangible items like clothing and accessories. I value pieces that are sustainable, ethical, and worth the investment. I believe in slow fashion that is conscious of its impact. In the words of Orsola de Castro,"demand quality, not only in the products you buy, but in the lives of the people who made it."
First, let's define three key words:
Ethical
eth·i·cal
/ˈeTHək(ə)l/
"avoiding activities or organizations that do harm to people or the environment."
Sustainable
sus·tain·a·ble
/səˈstānəb(ə)l/
"using a resource so that the resource is not depleted or permanently damaged."
Thoughtful
thought·ful
/ˈTHôtfəl/
"showing careful consideration or attention."
These three defintions are vital tenets of my philosophy of being thoughfully chic, and they will frame much of what is to come.
Ethics are subjective. Every person has a different perspective, (and I want to learn more about it!) Ultimately, what I hope to do in this space is share brands and products that vibe with my values, beliefs, and judgments. To me, the cumulative effect of enough people making tiny changes in habits and lifestyles is far more important than any one person doing things "perfectly." I hope you'll join me with an open mind and heart as we take small steps together towards a more thoughtful lifestyle.
